One Month To Go!

If you’re reading this, it means its a month to go before your wedding day (or maybe a few days after, don’t worry I understand, you’ve got a lot of emails to go through.) Below is a handy checklist of things that will make the photography on your day go super smoothly. We’ve probably already discussed them, but its always handy to have a reminder written down!

Below that is a super quick form that would be incredibly helpful for me if you could fill out (it helps me tag suppliers when I post on social media, which helps me reach other potential couples. It only takes 30 seconds and I would hugely appreciate it!)

Details

Have you thought about the details of your wedding you might like captured? Things like invitations, ceremony programmes, save the dates, jewellery, shoes, gifts, perfumes, cufflinks, rings etc. Task one of the bridal party to look after these (or the groomsmen) so that way I can easily capture them when I arrive to bridal prep. If this isn’t something you’re fussed about then don’t fret, I can just capture things as I go.

Portraits

Did you go big with the train on your dress? Cathedral length veil? Think about whether it’d be helpful to have a trusted friend come with us for the portraits to help zhoozh (never knew that was how the word was spelt until today) your dress. Only someone you’d feel comfortable coming round with us and its not necessary either, some of my favourite photos are of grooms completely bewildered at how the train is supposed to fall.

Umbrellas

We live in England. It’s always good to have a couple on hand just in case. Clear/see through ones are the best as they don’t cast a shadow so we can still capture lovely photos of you while you seek refuge!

I should really buy shares in a clear umbrella company.

Speeches

I have had my fair share of surprises in speeches and I’ve not missed anything exciting yet, but if anyone making speeches has anything “planned,” please ask them to let me know ahead of time. Just so I can anticipate it and be in the right place!

Group photos

We don’t want people hanging around for photos when they could be eyeing up canapés or propping up the bar. If you’re having group photos, sharing a list ahead of time is super useful (or even on the day is fine) - and let someone from the bridal party/groomsmen who know most people have a copy too, to save us missing out Great Aunt Doris.

Sparklers?

Sparklers are great - trying to light them with matches, is not. I recommend gas hob lighters and I always recommend getting a few of them. Lest half of the sparklers run out before the other half are lit! (Oh and make sure you have something safe like a metal bucket to put them in after!)

Filling this out would be amazingly helpful to me if you could (don’t worry if they don’t all apply). This will help other couples find me in future and help me link up with the amazing suppliers you chose for your day!

Feel free to share my mobile number with anyone who you think it would be useful to have it - 07967679784
